The painting Helsinki Harbour by Ellen Thesleff has been one of my favorites for a long time. The delicate colors remind me of the crisp and early spring sun; that hazy light you don’t know if it will last after a long, dark winter.

Satama Shawl mimics the theme of the painting quite literally: the soft colors glow in the simple texture panels of garter stitch and brioche. You will have fun working single color parts alternating with two-color brioche and of course there are a few short rows included in the mix for perfect shape.

Satama Shawl is designed in collaboration with Wool Me Once Fibers.
