Allikko Vest

Join the fun and knit yourself a vest that celebrates the spirit of folk music! The Allikko Vest was originally designed for our folk band, Allikko, with each of the three members sporting their own unique colours and features.

Now you can join the ensemble with this piece of knitting! The vest is worked from the bottom up in one piece, making it easy to customise to suit your style. Spread the joy and cast on your own piece of folk history.

• 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) (3, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Merino Singles by Nurja, in colourway Morganiitti as MC. Approx. 590 (650, 710, 760, 820) (880, 940, 1000, 1070) yds / 540 (595, 650, 695, 750) (805, 860, 915, 980) m of MC.

• 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1, 1) skein of Fingering Singles by The Wandering Flock, in colourway Neon Coral as CC1. Approx. 145 (160, 175, 190, 205) (230, 245, 260, 270) yds / 135 (150, 160, 175, 190) (210, 225, 240, 250) m of CC1.

• 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1, 1) skein of Skinny Singles by Hedgehog Fibres, in colourway Echo as CC2. Approx. 95 (110, 125, 140, 155) (170, 185, 200, 220) yds / 90 (105, 115, 130, 145) (160, 170, 185, 205) m of CC2.

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) and US 2.5 (3 mm) circular needles, 32” (80 cm) long or longer, and dpns in each size if not using magic loop method for small circumference knitting.

GAUGE
