Geraldine Scarf

Some knits arrive with a whisper, soft and unassuming, yet quickly become the ones you reach for day after day. The Geraldine Scarf is just that — a light layer with a touch of mohair, airy enough to float but cozy enough to keep close.

I wanted to design something that feels modern and playful, but still timeless: a scarf that can be looped, knotted, or left to flow freely, each way shifting the mood just a little. With the easy garter stitch, a shallow boomerang-shape and that little elegant cable at the top, Geraldine becomes more than the sum of its stitches — it’s a gentle halo, a bit of color, a thread of warmth to carry with you. All the good things in knitting!

The scarf is worked by holding a fingering-weight yarn together with a strand of lace-weight mohair, giving the fabric depth and softness. I knit my samples in two very different colorways! First sample I knitted is the coral-neon — bold, bright, and full of energy, worked in The Wandering Flock Fingering Singles and Mohair Silk, both shown in colourway Aimée’s Peaches & Dreams. My second sample is the lilac speckled one: soft, romantic, with specks of brown grounding the pastel tones, knit in Säie Wool Merino Sock (colourway Lavender Frost) and Silk Mohair (colourway Blackberry Yoghurt).

Each pairing shifts the feeling of the scarf, making Geraldine just as fun to style as it is to knit. The scarf comes in total of four sizes, ranging from a shorter wrap to a dramatic long version. Shown here in size 2 (lilac, made slightly shorter) and size 4 (coral-neon).

Find the Geraldine Scarf pattern here. To celebrate the release, I’m offering 20% off with code GERALDINE20 until Monday, September 1st, 2025 (end of the day, Helsinki time).

I can’t wait to see how you wear and style your Geraldine — bold and playful, or soft and subtle. Hopefully it’s one of those pieces that you will love just as much as I do!
