July is the month when all of Finland seems to be shut down and everyone escapes to their summer cottages. For me, nothing drastic usually changes, but this year there’s something different happening!

Oh Summer! I can finally say that we are in the midst of the greenest, most lush time of the year. I know heatwave has paralysed most of Europe in the past week, but here up North we have been lucky to enjoy warm (not hot) days with plenty of sunshine. Lucky us!

Midsummer is upon us and it’s the perfect time to introduce you to my featherweight wardrobe staple: The Elma Cardigan. A cardigan that’s soft, airy and incredibly lightweight.

It’s my love letter to the blurry, hazy loveliness that we call silk mohair. The ultimate fluff, halo and softness all in one. The fibre has been my recent obsession for a good reason and the Aura Sweater is the greatest example of it!

Here we go! Our April Scarf knit-along, you know, more commonly known as KAL, is underway. And I’m thrilled! Given that I had a very slow start for this knit-along.

The name might sound familiar to you, because it’s the Finnish word for soft-serve ice cream, and honestly, that’s exactly what this sweater feels like.
